Q and A for all player

Tryouts?  We do not hold tryouts.  Anybody who has the want and desire to be on this team will be on the team.  

Playing time?  Just because you're on the team does not guarantee you playing time.  We are in this to win and coaches play the players who give us the best chance to win. 

Insurance?  The team does not provide insurance for it players.  You will be asked to sign a waiver at the first practice releasing the team, league, and coaches of liability if you get hurt.   All players are highly encouraged to have injury insurance before attending any practice with the team.

Pay to play?  Yes all players must pay a fee in order to be on the team.  It is very expensive to run a league and team at this level and the player have to help offset those cost.  This year team/league fee will be $350 for a new player, and $225 for a returning player from the 2010 or 2011 team who already has his uniform   

Equipment?  Players must provide their own equipment.  Helmets, shoulder pads, leg pads, and cleats all are the responsibility of the individual players to obtain.

Practice?  Practice will start the February11.  Practices will continue the following weekend and will be both Saturday and Sunday until the start of the season on April 21stth.  Practices start at 10am and last 2 1/2 hours.  After the season starts we will have a film session for the offence on Tuesdays, film for the defence on Wednesday and a full team practice on Thursday.  All meetings and practices will start at 6pm.  With this amount of practice we are asking for a lot of commitment out of our players.  We will not be successful if we cannot practice because of players not showing up.  If you cannot sacrifice this much time do not bother coming out for the team.

Games?  We have a 10 game regular season.    All game will be played on Saturdays.  Time of kickoff depends on who and where we are playing that particular week.  In 2012 we will play teams from Tacoma, Olympia, Bellingham, Seattle, Snohomish County, Bend Or., and Grays Harbor.

Jersey numbers? A list of available can be found on this site under the 2011 players roster.  Players will need to put down at least $100 to secure the number of their choice.
